FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Maison de Racines already open?

No. The first Maison de Racines residence is currently under development.

Will Maison de Racines be suitable for someone in addiction recovery?

Yes. Maison de Racines is designed to provide a stable and supportive living environment during recovery. Residents may continue outpatient programmes, psychotherapy, addiction counselling, medical follow-up, support groups or other specialised services. Maison de Racines is not intended to operate as a medically supervised detoxification facility or an acute inpatient addiction treatment facility.

How long can someone stay?

Planned stays may range from several months to longer transitional periods depending on individual circumstances.

How much will the residence cost?

The final residential pricing model is still being developed. The working structure is Residence & Daily Living, Individual Support according to need, and Professional / Enhanced Support where required. Final pricing will depend on the property, capacity, staffing model, operating costs, cantonal requirements and available funding mechanisms.

Can fees be reduced?

Reduced fees may be available to eligible residents where third-party or dedicated subsidy funding has been confirmed.

How will professional or specialised support be organised?

The future model is intentionally flexible. Support may involve external services, partner organisations and, where qualifications and authorisations allow, selected in-house services. Maison de Racines is not intended to operate as a hospital, medically supervised detoxification facility, acute inpatient psychiatric or addiction treatment facility, or a facility providing continuous specialised clinical nursing supervision.

Will there be a trial visit before moving in?

Before a final move-in decision, we plan to offer the possibility of a trial day and/or trial night so that both the person and Maison de Racines can assess whether the environment is suitable and what level of support may be helpful.
